Chris Pratt

Pratt worked in smaller film and television roles before joining Everwood as Bright Abbott. That series gave him several seasons to develop a character who could be charming, careless and vulnerable. He later appeared in The O.C., but Parks and Recreation became the true turning point. Andy Dwyer was first planned as a more limited role. Pratt's ability to improvise, commit fully to foolish behaviour and remain likeable helped the character stay.
