PM Modi Visits Ethiopia for Important Talks
India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has arrived in Ethiopia for a two-day official visit. Ethiopia's Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed Ali, personally gave him a very special welcome.
In a unique gesture, PM Abiy Ahmed Ali drove PM Modi himself to his hotel in Addis Ababa. This showed a strong personal connection between the two leaders.
The main goal of this visit is to make the two countries work together more strongly. Both India and Ethiopia are partners in the "Global South," which means they are developing countries often working together on world issues.
During his visit, PM Modi will:
- Hold talks with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.
- Speak to the Indian people who live in Ethiopia (known as the Indian diaspora).
