What is GRAP Stage-IV?

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has started Stage-IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). This is an emergency plan used when air pollution levels are extremely high in the Delhi-NCR area. Stage-IV began on December 13, 2025.

The new measures in Gurugram are meant to lower pollution and protect people from unhealthy air.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gurugram has set new working hours for all state government and municipal offices. These changes started on December 22, 2025, and will continue until further notice.

Here are the new office timings:

Work From Home for Private Offices

Private companies and businesses in Gurugram are advised to:

  • Operate with only 50% of their staff working from the office.
  • Ask the remaining employees to work from home.

The DC Gurugram said that everyone working together will help reduce pollution and make the air better. Employers should make it easy for staff to work remotely whenever possible.

Why These Rules Are Important

These rules are very important to follow during Stage-IV air pollution conditions. Both government and private sectors must help manage the risks from bad air quality.
